ROCKET CITY DJs — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Rocket City DJs is operated by Rocket City DJs, LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Houston, Texas, United States (“Rocket City DJs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). “Client” means the person or organization booking our services.
These Terms & Conditions explain the use of our website and the general conditions applicable to our DJ, MC, lighting, photo booth, and specialty event services.
1. Application of Terms
Our website provides general information about our services. Submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or discussing availability does not confirm a booking.
These service terms apply to a booking when provided or expressly incorporated by reference before Client accepts the booking. Any signed service agreement controls over conflicting invoice or website terms. Accepted booking-specific invoice terms control over conflicting general website terms.
2. Booking & Payment
A booking is not confirmed until the required retainer/deposit is received. Retainers/deposits are non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
The remaining balance is due no later than the event date unless otherwise stated in the booking documents. Any unpaid balance after the event may be subject to a $100 late fee, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Client’s accepted quote, invoice, or service agreement identifies the services, performance hours, pricing, and payment requirements for the booking. Website descriptions and advertised packages do not replace those booking-specific details.
3. Services & Booking Changes
Only services expressly included in the accepted booking documents are included in the booking price.
Requests to change the event date, venue, performance hours, equipment, or services must be submitted in writing. Changes are subject to availability and written confirmation by Rocket City DJs. Additional charges or pricing differences will be disclosed before Client accepts the change.
4. Overtime & Event Delays
Additional performance time requested on the event day is charged at $150 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments of $75. Overtime is subject to DJ availability and is not guaranteed.
Delays caused by venue access, parking, security, ceremonies, meals, speeches, other vendors, or event scheduling do not automatically extend the contracted performance time. Any extension must be agreed upon with Rocket City DJs.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing.
Retainers/deposits are non-refundable upon cancellation, subject to applicable law. At Rocket City DJs’ discretion and subject to availability, payments may be transferred to a rescheduled event occurring within 12 months of the original event date. Pricing differences may apply.
A request to reschedule does not confirm a new date. Any approved transfer and revised booking details must be confirmed in writing. The treatment of payments other than the retainer/deposit is governed by the accepted booking documents and applicable law.
6. Venue, Access & Electrical Power
Client is responsible for coordinating timely venue access, adequate setup space, and safe, reliable, properly grounded electrical power.
Client must inform Rocket City DJs in advance of access restrictions, stairs, lengthy equipment transport routes, parking limitations, setup deadlines, and venue requirements that may affect service delivery.
Client is responsible for arranging sufficient access for setup before, and equipment removal after, the contracted performance period.
7. Outdoor Events
Outdoor setups must have a stable, completely covered, dry, weather-protected performance area.
Rocket City DJs may delay, suspend, relocate, or discontinue services when rain, lightning, wind, excessive heat, moisture, or other conditions present a reasonable safety risk to personnel or equipment. Client is responsible for coordinating a suitable weather contingency with the venue.
Any payment, refund, or rescheduling consequences will be determined by the accepted booking documents and applicable law.
8. Music, Announcements & Event Timeline
Rocket City DJs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate music requests, playlists, announcements, and event timelines. Specific songs and versions are subject to availability.
Client should provide important song selections, pronunciation guidance, announcements, and timeline information by any planning deadline agreed upon for the booking.
Music requests remain subject to Client’s agreed preferences, venue restrictions, and reasonable professional judgment concerning the event and audience.
9. Venue Restrictions & Specialty Services
Client is responsible for obtaining required venue approval for lighting, cold sparks, dancing-on-the-clouds effects, photo booths, and other specialty services.
Equipment and effects remain subject to applicable laws, permit requirements, venue rules, and safe operating conditions. Rocket City DJs may decline to operate equipment or effects when prohibited or reasonably deemed unsafe.
Venue approval does not override applicable legal or safety requirements.
10. Equipment Damage & Safety
Client is responsible for reasonable repair, replacement, or cleaning costs for Rocket City DJs equipment damaged by Client, Client’s guests, attendees, or other persons under Client’s control, excluding normal wear and tear.
Guests and attendees must not move, disconnect, operate, or interfere with equipment without authorization.
Rocket City DJs may suspend or discontinue services due to threatening, abusive, illegal, or unsafe conduct or conditions that present a reasonable risk to personnel or equipment. When reasonably safe and practical, we will notify Client or the designated event contact and allow an opportunity to address the issue.
11. Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control
Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or widespread utility failures.
The affected party should notify the other party as soon as reasonably practical. The parties will discuss available alternatives, including relocation or rescheduling where feasible.
This provision does not independently determine whether payments are refundable or transferable. Those matters remain subject to the accepted booking documents and applicable law.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rocket City DJs’ aggregate liability arising from the contracted services shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by Client to Rocket City DJs for the applicable booking.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in these terms waives any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.
13. Website Use & Content
You may use our website to learn about our services and submit legitimate inquiries. You must not misuse the website, submit unlawful content, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation.
Website text, branding, designs, and original media belong to Rocket City DJs or their respective owners. Except as permitted by law or with the owner’s permission, they may not be reproduced or used commercially.
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate. Pricing and availability must be confirmed for each booking. Corrections to website information do not automatically change an accepted booking.
14. Privacy & Event Images
Our handling of personal information is described in our separate Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these terms does not itself grant permission to use Client’s or guests’ identifiable images for advertising. Any promotional photography or video permissions will be addressed separately, as appropriate.
15. Electronic Acceptance
Payment of the retainer/deposit, payment of an invoice, electronic acceptance, or written confirmation of a booking constitutes acceptance of the booking terms provided or incorporated by reference before that action.
The person accepting on behalf of an organization represents that they are authorized to do so. Acceptance of terms does not reserve an event date until the required retainer/deposit is received.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms and bookings are governed by Texas law, subject to applicable federal law and any mandatory legal protections.
Please contact Rocket City DJs promptly about any concern so we can attempt to resolve it directly. This request does not restrict either party’s legal remedies or extend any legal deadline.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Updates apply to future bookings when properly provided and accepted.
An update to this webpage does not automatically modify an existing booking. Changes to an existing booking require agreement by both parties.
